Mannschaft hat schlecht gespielt/war nicht auf der Höhe = team had an off/a rough night; team barely got out of second gear; the offense just fell apart; our offense went AWOL (“absent without leave”); team has a subpar/patchy game; squad went through the wringer; last night we were a cold-shooting team (B’ball); we played like crap; things looked bleak; team was in a funk from the start/very beginning; it was a poor/dismal display/performance; we had an off-afternoon/a non-appearance; we were rushing shots; for us this is a forgettable game; team tossed out a clunker; we played listlessly; team didn't look in sync and was not on top of things; it was a slump-ridden showing/ performance and it sucked; the guys/boys were out of sorts and turned in a sub-par effort; the hoop/goal seemed to have a lid as we struggled offensively; we lost focus and played a lousy game; team came out flat as a pancake; there was “lack of hunger”; we passed/shot the ball like garbage; we had a breakdown and started to crumple/swoon; team was unable to cut into the other team’s lead; team caved in/ shrank/sputtered; the guys looked flat/sluggish; it was a below-average performance/effort and thorough lack of enthusiasm; losing streak continues and futility lives on
