Sanierung/Umstrukturierung wird beschlossen = the board of directors has decided to shake up/retool/rejig/reorganize/restructure/ resuscitate/resurrect the team’s line-up; the corporation is to be given a sassy new look; a revamp/a makeover/an overhaul of the company operations is on the cards; a consulting firm has been retained/ordered to revive the fortunes of the company; the corporation has aunched a rescue/rehabilitation/relief/revival/aid/salvage/recovery/austerity program/plan; the finance department is considering cutting some office jobs; many positions in our unit are up for review 

wir müssen einen erfahrenen Manager auf den Plan rufen, der die Firma wieder auf Vordermann bringt =  something’s gotta give; let the high-paid execs/corporate doctors weigh in on the issue/figure this out; it’s about time we called an experienced executive to jump into the fray to pick up/take up the slack/to fix things; we need a problem-solver/a go-to-guy/can-do guy to enter the fray/to handle this vexed/ pressing issue/problem

für den neuen Boss wird diese Aufgabe eine schwere Geburt sein; es ist ein sehr anspruchsvoller/sportlicher Auftrag =  the new boss has his work cut out; it's a very daunting/challenging task; he’s got big shoes to fill 

Rufe nach einem Krisenmanager/Alleskönner werden lauter = we need a Mr. Fix-it to deal personally/ultimately with our troubles; an expert is called for to handle key/high-profile issues personally; a white knight is called for/needed to save/to bail out the company that went bust; the issue will be personally overseen by our trouble-shooters; we expect our turnaround artists to do the bulk of the heavy lifting/to lead the charge; he/she will have to pick up the pieces; a Mr. Fix-it has been appointed to carry the load/ball for the firm’s rescue; an expert team has been hired to rejig/revamp the company; the person we need must be able to handle this hot seat; whoever comes to the rescue of the company must be a turnaround/a do-everything expert; (person’ s name and/or title) shapes up as a rescuer of last resort

CEO ergreift die Flucht nach vorne = after just glossing over the constant decline in revenue, the chairman attempted to sugarcoat the situation by emphasizing that the company would double down on its ambitious expansion plans; after being heavily slammed for his lack  of adequate climate change policies the CEO told shareholders that the corporation intends to double down on environmental management; generally corporations should take action when it’s actually called for, instead of only reacting to change when it’s due to happen anyway

das Unternehmen erfindet sich neu = the organization has decided to reinvent/refashion/reimagine itself; the corporation is recasting itself as a lean outfit/is undergoing a revival plan

Firma braucht frisches Kapital = company taps the market for fresh capital; corporation has been thrown a lifeline to the tune of $10 million; fresh equity needs to be sunk/tipped into/tossed into/injected into the corporate coffers; the government has earmarked/allocated special funds for embattled financial institutions 

die Marketingabteilung entwirft eine neue Geschäftsstrategie/einen neuen Verkaufskatalog = the marketing department is rejigging the sales portfolio/redrawing the business map

die Belegschaft findet sich mit dem neuen Arbeitsklima/Ambiente ab = staff adjusts/adapts to the quirks of life in the war zone

die Firma ist noch nicht gesund = the company needs more surgery; the CEO has the knife that’s needed to perform reconstructive surgery on a few departments

Währungsverlust durchkreuzt Umstrukturierungspläne = the currency’s deep fall put a crimp/a damper on the organization’s revival bid; the exchange rate's steep devaluation foiled/thwarted turnaround prospects

wieder eine Lösung, die nichts taugt = another solution bites the dust

wir haben kein Patentrezept für dieses Problem = we don’t have a homespun method/solution for this problem; don’t bank on any quick  fix; the resolution of this problem/issue is not low hanging fruit 

alles muss besser werden = company is trying hard to see its fortunes recast/turned around; top management addresses major issues at root

es geht wieder aufwärts = head winds become tail winds as company fortunes turn around
