die Abnahme hat stattgefunden/ist in Ordnung = the regulatory body signed off on the project; the engineers gave the nod/the thumbs-up/the green light/the go-ahead to the undertaking; the project got/obtained the all-clear from the regulatory authorities/body; system was declared ready for use; the venture was waved through/received the blessing of/passed muster with the relevant authorities; it’s all systems go for the project; the Royal Navy has accepted the operational release of 6 warships; we got the regulatory approval/were granted operational certification from the watchdog; the program was given the seal of approval; company managed to obtain a private certificate of compliance with minor modifications and variations; the project was declared fit for operations; operating certification has been issued

die Abnahme wird im Schnelldurchlauf erledigt = all the checkers/examiners did was to perform a cursory/perfunctory inspection/kick the tires; the authorities just went through the motions; the authorities rubber stamped the whole project without specifically checking its contents; the inspectors gave the plan just a lick and a promise

die Mängelbeseitigung läuft an = project management has been instructed to conduct additional remedy/remedial works; faults must still be corrected/redressed

Mängel werden abgearbeitet = engineers will clear all the items from the faults list; shortcomings will be addressed through a real working test 

Mängel tauchen noch immer auf = system is still alerting to faults/quirks/showing some red flags; we will still have to pass/undergo a few more operational tests/trials
