Regional- und Fernzüge sind hierzulande teuer = regional and inter-city/long-distance services are quite expensive in our country

meine Frau pendelt mit der Bahn zur Arbeit = my wife commutes/shuttles to work by train

zur Arbeit nehme ich immer den Bummelzug = I always take he milk-run (a “slow” train that stops at all stations) to go to work
